PUKAS SURF SHOP - BLACK PALM
The Black Palm Never Felt Brighter
The so-called Indians (‘indiano’), Spanish people that migrated to the Americas to make fortune, brought the palm tree to the Basque Country as a sign of their success. At that time, planting a palm tree in your yard or garden was a sign of someone that made good fortune in America.
Today, the palm tree we have in the Basque Country is something that we feel as our own, part of our heritage culture from Basque emigrants.
'Black Palm', Rooting for Local
Basque Farm with the original 'Black Palm' captured by Maddi Saez.
We wanted to create a garment that represented our roots. Something that we could capture and share with the rest of the world. Something ours that could reflect our local stores. A little homage to them, for always being our core.
¿The result? Our Black Palm tree. A palm that rooted here and we made our own: being part of our scenario, of our day-to day life and that we now wanted to share with you: from local to the world.
We planted the seed of the Black Palm and we know it will sprout wherever it goes alongside with you. ¿The limit? The globe. One of our team members, Maddi Saez, has been the one in charge of designing this special collection from our stores to you.
